SA Speak Up | Improvement Open House

The City of San Antonio and Main Plaza Conservancy are hosting an open house to share the conceptual design for the Main Plaza Improvement Project and we’d love public input: Monday, Feb. 23, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Central Library (600 Soledad).

The project focuses on making Main Plaza easier to access and enjoy for everyone including ADA accessibility, improvements to lighting and walkability, improvements to trees and irrigation, food & beverage service options, covered shade structure that also serves as a stage for local entertainment, seating and more. These are initial renderings offering a conceptual understanding of the improvements planned. However, they may not include all of the final features.

Main Plaza has historically been San Antonio’s generational gathering place and its intent is to be enjoyed by the public and serve as place for people to come together in the Heart of the City. Public input is vital and is welcomed as this project comes to fruition.
