DESCRIPTION:The Honorable Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones has proclaimed November 16 2025 “International Day of Flamenco” in San\nAntonio. The proclamation ceremony and performance will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday\, November 16 2025\, at\nthe Main Plaza\, 115 N. Main Avenue\, San Antonio\, Texas. The ceremony will be kicked off with a reading of the\nproclamation by Poet Laureate Emeritus Andrea “Vocab” Sanderson. The ceremony will close with a performance\nby Arte y Pasión\, with Genevieve Obregon\, Jose Manuel Tejeda\, Celia Corrales\, and Roberto Riggio\, with special\nguest Dr. Tamanna Shams\, artistic director of Rhythmics School of Kathak Dance. Following the performance\,\ndancers throughout the community are invited to dance. \nThis is a FREE event.
