SABW KICK OFF PARTY

Begin San Antonio Beer Week at Main Plaza Saturday, May 13 with the official Kick Off Party. Main Plaza links government, culture, business—and San Antonio’s spiritual heart, San Fernando Cathedral—all in one communal space. The party begins at 4pm with a pig roast hosted by Swine House, reggae dub and house vibes provided by Gabe of SouthTown Vinyl. Swine House will be serving whole pig roast sandwiches with cole slaw on a Martin’s roll served with really really good kettle chips. After Gabes DJ set enjoy live music from San Antonio’s very own classic country cover band, The Texases at 7pm with all your favorite classic country hits, from Waylon to Willie, Garth to Clint, and George to George. After two stepping into the night, stick around to see the San Fernando Cathedral like never before during a 24-minute show by French artist Xavier De Richemont.  Lights projected onto the cathedral tell the story of San Antonio from its beginning to today.  Show times are 9, 9:30 and 10 p.m.

All this great entertainment will be paired with a variety of light and refreshing beers from San Antonio-area breweries.  Petanque and corn hole games will be provided.

Saturday, May 13 • 4pm-11pm • Main Plaza Conservancy, 115 N. Main Ave.
