Established in 1731 as the Viilla de San Fernando by the Spanish settlers of the Canary Islands, Main Plaza, also known historically as Plaza de las Islas, has been the civic and cultural city center for generations. San Antonio Founding Heritage is engaged in educating audiences in this historical relationship between San Antonio and the Canary Islands. They present a re-enactment of the Canary Islander's arrival in San Antonio with over thirty participants of all ages in full period dress. This is a performance you won't want to miss and a history lesson at the same time!
Next Performance: March 2009. Check back here in January 2009 for updates!
